Ideas
Sometimes ideas for a blog post are hard to come by and you feel blank. Other times there is so much going on and picking one idea to focus on seems impossible. Today I have the latter problem...
Do I write about Mike and I celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary yesterday? 20 years of ups and downs and crazy all arounds. 20 years of compromising, arguing, loving, laughing, getting some things right, getting some things wrong but through it all learning to be our own unique family.
Or maybe I write about my youngest daughter turning six today-Happy Birthday Olivia! Sharing about her desire to be older and my desire for her to stay my young and innocent little girl. I could share how it's bitter sweet watching her go through the little girl stages quicker than her older sisters. Laughing with a pang in my heart when she cries for fifteen minutes about wanting to be a "big kid" so she can wear mascara.
I could brag about my niece and god daughter who I found out yesterday made valedictorian of her high school. I could write about what a smart, funny, beautiful and awesome young woman she has grown into. Or I could bring up another one of my beautiful nieces and god daughter who is making her Confirmation this Saturday. May the Holy Spirit help her to continue growing into the strong, loving woman she is becoming.
Or I could bring up my son going to his first prom(s) next weekend. His school's prom is on Friday plus he is attending his dates school prom Saturday night. We could discuss how crazy expensive it is and how no kid can afford it without taking out a loan from their parents!
Another important event I could bring up is my Alie's First Communion next Saturday and how she is so excited to finally get to partake of the Eucharist. I could write about what a joyous experience it is sharing the sacraments with your child and how wonderful it is to see them developing their own relationship with God.
So yep, I got a lot on my mind and a lot of blog post ideas. Now if I could only motivate myself to actually write them down....
Peace and Joy,
Sue
